So today I had to run back to an amazing opportunity to capture a nature scene after collecting my camera. It was about 8:30am in the morning when I first spotted it but took another 20mins to get back to shoot it. By this time I had lost most of the light that was illuminating the mushrooms but still had some good light to work with. I decided to use one of my new filters on this occasion as I wanted a slightly more aged look. Using a 52mm holder for my lens and a Tobacco “Gradual T1” (124) A series Cokin Filter I set up my shot to show the light shining on the edges of the mushrooms with the main filter area at the half way point.
I found that due to the light changes the first picture I took came out as one of the best. If I can get back another day I may try and get some more shots with the light shining on the subjects more. Over all I’m pleased with the outcome but it needs more work and a re-visit.
